Just thought I’d just trick out my XDm to see how far I can get. Bought a cheapo Aim red dot mount for a pistol with a rail. Cost me just $20 from ebay.
That’s my .40 S&W XDm with a pistolgear magwell, canyon creek ext mag release, polished barrel, don’s guide rod, Surefire X300, Aim red dot mount and Barska red dot optic.

Super Carry Custom – MFG # 3200246The Super Carry family – the three models in this line will all have alloy frames, a recessed slide stop hole like on the Crimson Carry II family, a high cut lower trigger guard like on the newest Gold Combat II models, a melt finish & silver KimPro on the frame with black KimPro on the slide making this a two tone gun, Wood Micarta Grips – Linville color (new color for Kimbers), and a bobbed mainspring housing. The sights will have a cocking shoulder like the SIS line, ambidextrous safety, and new cocking serrations called Super Carry Serrations. These serrations will look similar to those on the Raptor slide but sharper and reversed in direction.
Most notable difference, BOBBED Mainspring housing. That reduces “printing”. I’ve been looking for a bobtailed 3” carry pistol for a long time, only ones were the Bobtailed Dan Wessons, but those are commander frames and pretty heavy because of the stainless frames.
I’m sold! Time to save up!
Got these off a Seattleguns.net forum member for super cheap. It’s a somewhat poor polymer & lead casting of an actual M67 frag grenade. Cleaned it up with a file, hobby knife and sand paper.
All primered up:
Sprayed them with a black base coat and went to work 🙂 Used my old Citadel acrylic paints and painted them in two types of green. Once they’re painted, coated them with matte varnish to keep the paint from chipping, drilled a small hole for the pin and ring.

I predict that the long awaited Bushmaster ACR licensed from Magpul’s MASADA design will be released at Shot Show in Vegas in January `9-22, 2010.
I certainly hope so, coz I’m definitely buying one in 7.62 caliber.
Wanted an EDC flashlight and thought about getting one from Surefire or Fenix, but the ones that are really popular were really expensive. Products like the Surefire Titan or 6P were at least 80-200 bux.
Saw a review over on YouTube and decided to get one. It’s the awesome Maratac AAA Electro Polished Stainless, here’s the video review by chanderson1.

It’s small as hell! just slightly larger than a AAA battery. the light is also very bright on the highest setting.
The only quirky thing is to turn it on, you twist the cap, to select between the three brightness modes, you twist off and on quickly. It also doesn’t hold the previous setting, so it keeps rotating to the next setting, meaning if you turned it off when it’s brightest, the next time you turn it on, it’ll be on lowest, so you’ll have to twist the cap twice to get it back to the brightest setting.
here are the brightness settings :
Medium Mode, 18lm Output for 4 Hours
Low Mode, 1.5lm Output for 50 Hours
High Mode, 62lm Output for 48 Minutes
Now I have a bright light in my pocket and I don’t even feel it. 🙂
Decided to break out my cheapass spring operated Airsoft FAMAS rifle, attached the equally cheap Barska Red Dot Scope and shot some BBs at my cheapass target. I think the total cost of all three things, including the BBs is less than $100 including tax. The rifle is so cheap the scope mount is loose and you have to pull the charging handle for each shot. no Gas blowback or battery powered AEG wonders here!
