USPSA Limited XDm is done

Just installed the Pistolgear modified Slidestop today and in combination with the new Tungsten guiderod and mag release, I now have a fully customized XDm for shooting in the Limited category. I know it’s not even close to the $2,000 Limited guns from SVI or STI, but it’ll do for me 🙂

 

here’s how the extended slide stop looks like. It get’s out of the way so that your thumb won’t accidentally raise the slidestop, causing the slide to lock back at inopportune times. It’s also longer, making it easy for small hands to reach it.

New Shade Cam

I saw this on ebay.com for a relatively cheap price and thought I’d modify it a little move the camera from the center of the glass to the proper position on top of my right eye (since I’m right eye dominant).

It’s been a while since I went shooting so I didn’t do so well, just looks fast on video. Raw time was pretty good though, but had too many points down. Need to work on my accuracy & reloading next!

Upgraded my XDm for USPSA Limited with Tungsten parts

I’ve been shooting my XDm in USPSA Limited category and have been wanting to  add these updates for a while now. You know that the .40 S&W is snappy and very stout and one of the ways to help is to increase the weight up front. I did that by getting a Tungsten Guide Rod from Canyon Creek. I also got the Tungsten Magazine release to help with the weight & reaching the mag release button without changing the grip.

 

 

The guide rod protrudes a little but doesn’t change the overall length of the gun.
