Rusty should be the title of this video. The last time I shot a match was in December, so slightly more than two months ago. Although I can still press my trigger, it’s pretty clear that I’m rusty and slow as heck.
Here’s looking forward to more practice, dry fire and more practice.
and here’s the same match but compared to Nick, who’s a Grandmaster.
Love this series of videos made by AmmoForSale.com. Taking a tongue in cheek look at the two most popular handgun calibers in this country and how one is better than the other.
Obviously the 45 ACP has my vote. checkout the video : (http://www.ammoforsale.com/.45-acp-ammo-for-sale#video)
And the 9mm “Euro-pellet” HAHA! (http://www.ammoforsale.com/9mm-ammo-for-sale#video)
After missing a number of matches, I got to take my Open gun out for a spin finally. It was freakishly cold and wet but I didn’t care. Came in 3rd overall because I screwed up two stages royally with 2 mikes each. Anyway, till next match!

My match performance :
and a side by side with TimR, Master class :
Here’s another comparison video of myself and Donovan shooting the Paul Bunyan match. Donovan is a Master (he’s B class in disguise) in the Production division.

Took some videos from the previous match and spliced them together with Adobe Premiere Elements just to pit three shooters side by side.
I’m a C class Open Division shooter, NickH is Open GM, and Yong is a 4-division GM and shooting Limited in this video.
Look at how smooth and consistent the GM’s movements are, including transitions to-from targets and split times.
I’m just super rough all over!
Shot at Renton’s first USPSA Match of the season organized by Aristotle. It was a super-cold day with temperatures around 30-34degF (felt like 25!) and light rain throughout the entire day. Stages were pretty fun especially the first hoser stage and the Paper Poppers classifier stage. Here’s the video I took :
I also took videos of 3 other shooters, ScottP who’s a GM, Caleb from Gunnuts, and my good friend Victor. I put them all next to each other and you can see how well we compared to each other.
All that reloading takes a toll on your hands. Checkout the wound from repeatedly hammering the ejection rod during reload :
Look forward to shooting more USPSA to get more practice!
