I ordered this holster six months ago almost and it wasn’t after some “chasing”, I managed to get them to deliver it. I’m sure their business is booming and they have a long backlog, but six months is just too long for me.
The quality of the holster is good, except for their belt straps. It feels flimsy and is very soft. I’d prefer if there was something harder. There might be some value to it being soft, time will tell I guess.
The gun fits perfectly and slides in and out very nicely I must add. You can feel the quality construction of the holster.
I got the holster for my M&P 9mm with a Streamlight TLR-1 weapon light. Here it is on my belt :
Holster is a little fat and a little “loose” on my belt, unlike a hybrid holster like a Crossbreed. This one keeps the gun riding a little high up so the grip portion flops around my belt. I would have preferred it to ride a little lower and tighter to my body.
Will update after wearing this for a few weeks.
Crossbreed Holsters are hands-down, the most comfortable holsters I’ve ever worn. I have one for my 1911, Springfield XDm and now for my Glock 19. I bought this particular BLEM holster (slight blemish or returned item) from Crossbreed through the XDTalk Forums ( http://www.xdtalk.com/forums/crossbreed-holsters/161669-new-blem-list-11-10-10-a.html) for a meager $50. I don’t know why they call it blems but they’re perfect in function and form. I don’t see any blemishes either, perhaps there is some holster wear on the leather but nothing that stands out to me.
(Gun is loaded btw, as IT SHOULD BE!)
All in all, a GREAT deal
Bought this Raven Concealment Holster from Roy of Weapon Outfitters and tried it on today. It works very well, except for the mounting at the back. I need to go look for a loop mount so I can slide my belt through it. Looks nice huh? and I didn’t have to wait 18weeks for it
You can buy these holsters new at http://themalabarfront.com
After tooling around with my Kholster with a scissors and some leather conditioner, I made the leather a lot smoother and curves in the right places. The Crossbreed Supertuck is much better, obviously more expensive, but you don’t have to mess around with it. The original Kholster came as a full circle which is REALLY ugly and huge. Like this :
Here’s how it looks like worn, I love these IWB format holsters, very comfortable :
I’ve also cut the top part of the Kholster to allow me to find the right spot to grip my gun when drawing. here’s how I do it, notice the rounded top:
That’s where I’ll place my thumb to get the right position :
Then Draw, and thumb is just in place to engage the safety :
This way, my draw is more consistent.
This is my first time trying out a IWB (Inside the Waist Band) holster and I admit, I was very skeptical about the ability for these types of holsters to be carried for an extensive period of time. After putting on these excellently crafted Crossbreed Supertucks, I’m sold.
It’s so bloody comfortable, I wish I had an excuse to wear it everyday. 🙂 here’s a good review of the Supertuck. : http://gunblast.com/Crossbreed.htm
Here’s how it looks like with my XDm :
Let’s see how it performs in IDPA.
