Got my new loads ready for my revolver. I wanted to distinctly differentiate my 1911 45 ACP rounds from my S&W 625 JM revolver so I went with a full silver theme.
Bullet : JD Sales Cast 230gr RN
Powder : 3.7 gr Hodgdon Clays
Brass : Various Nickel cases
Primer : Federal Large Pistol Primer
I’m ready for them lycanthropes & blood sucking nocturnal creatures.
Have you actually tried to cast a silver bullet? Among other problems, silver melts at a higher temperature AND it doesn’t flow into a mold as well as lead.
Of course, one could obtain a small wood lathe and turn some wooden bullets.
