I think this will be my next pistol, if I can get it (that is). It’s relatively small for 30 rounds of 22 mag and it shoots pretty well too checkout Gunblast’s review here :
it’s a whole lot of fun! oh and remember, better stock up on 22 mags now. Once the gun is released, there’ll be a shortage for a while.
Shot one of the nicest USPSA matches I’ve ever participated in today in Renton Fish & Game Club. Aristotle13 was the match director and spent over 3 days setting up this 232 round match. We even saw Travis Tomasie & Max Michel shoot. Awesome! checkout their performance at Aristotle’s YouTube Channel at : http://youtube.com/aristotle13
My performance was pathetic because of equipment issues (gun double fed multiple times) I’m sure it’s the crappy steel cased Wolf ammo I was using. No more!
Also, it’s a little hard to shoot when it’s your first time ROing. Had to concentrate on safety and running shooters, instead of thinking about execution. But… I had a lot of fun coz I didn’t have to tape anything. 🙂
Heard that this was dangerous after reading many different opinions from different blogs, but a bunch of my shooting buddies have done this for years and years and it’s very safe. Decided to get a Franklin Arsenal Quick-N-Ez Case Tumbler from MidwayUSA to try it out.
here’s it is tumbling couple of hundred .45ACP rounds.
and the Media Separator thingy :
and the resulting super clean, polished rounds. Where are my shades? 🙂
We’ve always been taught to focus on the front sight when shooting because it’s the best of both worlds making the rear sight and target slightly blur so you can obtain a decent sight picture and sight alignment. Sometimes older shooters with degrading eyesight have issues doing so. Come MicroSight, a new optical lens technology that refracts light making both front sight AND the target both clear.
Personally I can’t wait to see how this sight is going to be put in practice. Will it replace a non-magnified red-dot optic? Does it work for targets in various ranges? or there’s a minimum/maximum limit? so many questions!
here’s how the lens looks like :

here are some videos I took from our recent Tactical Rifle match up at Custer Sportmen’s Club in Custer, WA
Love this format of competitive shooting. Fast paced and fun!
I love this gun. this is by far my favorite gun in my collection. Now I totally understand why a 1911 style pistol that shoots the venerable .45ACP is the most popular handgun in this country. It’s a Kimber TLE / RL II Stainless with a G10 VZ Gatorbacks grip, Ed Brown Maxi-well and TruGlo TFO night sights (green front, yellow rear).
I use this configuration when I shoot IDPA in the CDP division. You can see it in action here : http://www.youtube.com/gunrobot
Shoots like a dream and so frigging nice to hold 🙂
here it is with a 10 round Chip McCormick Powermag+ and a X300 Surefire LED light. I use this configuration as my home defense gun.
