I thought I did pretty good in this match. I shot with TimR who pushed me a little bit. I just need to get used to this ragged speed so I can be more consistent. I won a number of stages but bombed two which made me lose 50-60 points. Overall, I’m happy.
Area 1 2014 was a good Level III match put up by the Eastern Washington Practical Shooting Association at the Rattlesnake Mountain Shooting Facility in Benton City, WA.
There were 14 very technical stages that have very tight shots with lots of no-shoots to punish the hosers. I didn’t shoot very well in this match, one because I was very careful to avoid the penalties thus slowing down tremendously and 2nd, as you’ll see from the video, I had a few mistakes and one catastrophic gun failure when I couldn’t extract the brass because the rim was sheared off.
That said, match was still fun because of the company. Always fun shooting and hanging out with the regulars.
Thanks to all the organizers who set this match up and to the hard working Range Officers who ran over 354 shooters through 3 days.
